Clay swelling adversely impact drilling operations especially in the water based mud systems. Poly Amine is polyamine based inhibitor which prevents water intake in clay, gumbo and reactive shale. The product is specially formulated to inhibit clay swelling by preventing water intake by actively bonding at the exchange sites.Characteristics and benefits1. Easily soluble in water.2. Chloride free additive.Procedure for Mixing1. pH of the drilling fluid should be in the range of 9.0 to 9.5 for effective performance of the product.2. Effective concentration of ADDRILL CI in drilling fluid, mainly constituting of Bentonite ,should be 0.2 to 0.5 % of weight of Bentonite, depending of hydration characteristics of shale.3. Product should be used in 2 to 5 % of drilling fluid volume depending upon the reactivity of clay in composite drilling fluid constituting polyacrylamide polymer and glycols, KCL etc.
